Bollywood OTT, theatre release movies to watch this week [April 1 to 7, 2024]

This year (2024) is turning out to be favourable for Bollywood. In the first three months of the year, we have seen theatrical releases like Shaitaan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Crew and Fighter among a few others work at the box office. On the other hand, web shows like Maamla Legal Hai, Sunflower S2, Maharani Season 3 and a few more have struck the right chord with audiences. 

With the arrival of a new week, we are back with a list of some awaited Bollywood and OTT films and web shows that will be released between April 1 to April 7, 2024. Without any further ado, check out the list below:

Bollywood movie OTT and theatrical releases of the week

Family Aaj Kal

Directed by Parikshit Joshi, Family Aaj Kal is set against the backdrop of bustling Delhi. The series, featuring Apoorva Arora and late Nitesh Pandey in the lead roles, intends to take the audience on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This web show has been written by Manoj Kalwani and produced by Anushka Shah of Civic Studios.

Yeh Meri Family season 3

Rajesh Kumar, Juhi Parmar, Hetal Gada and Anngad Raaj are returning with a new season of their much-loved show, Yeh Meri Family. The third season of the show will follow the story of the 11-year-old naughty child Rishi, who embarks on an emotional adventure.

The Great Indian Kapil Show (Episode 2)

Kapil Sharma and his team tickled everyone's funnybones with the first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni graced the opening episode of the comedy show. The second episode will drop this Saturday (April 6). It will feature Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer.

Farrey

Directed by Soumendra Padhi, Farrey hit the silver screen on November 24, 2023. Several months down the line, the film is headed for a digital release on ZEE5. The storyline revolves around Alizeh Agnihotri and Sahil Mehta's characters, who are bright students but get caught in a cheating racket.

Bollywood and OTT films, shows to stream this week

Out of the aforementioned OTT releases, our pick would be The Great Indian Kapil Show and Farrey. The major reason to watch episode 2 of Kapil's show is that it's going to feature two talented Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer. Farrey, on the other hand, earned critical acclaim upon its theatrical run. If you missed watching it on the silver screen, you can watch the same on OTT this week.
