Sivaji- The Boss

Starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, Sivaji The Boss is directed by filmmaker Shankar. The film was a commercial success upon its release. It revolves around an NRI man who returns to India to set society right. The film, which was made on a lavish budget, features Shriya Saran as the female lead. Shot by late filmmaker KV Anand, Sivaji is a perfect combination of commercial elements, romance, action, and drama, making it a perfect watch for your afternoon watchlist. The film also stars Vivekh, Suman, Manivannan, and Vadivukkarasi, among others.

Ghilli

Iconic onscreen couple Vijay and Trisha unite for Ghilli, a remake of the Telugu film Okkadu. Ghilli is an action-romantic film about a stranger who finds himself as the helping hand for a girl who is chased after a powerful local seeks her hand in marriage. Prakash Raj plays the antagonist in the film, which was directed by Dharani. From its nail-biting kabaddi match sequences to the foot-tapping dance numbers like Appadi Podu, Ghilli has all the aspects that a commercial film requires. It is one of the most famous films in Vijay’s career and was a blockbuster success upon release in 2004.

Indian

A vigilante action film, Indian stars Kamal Haasan in dual roles and is directed by Shankar. It follows a righteous and freedom-fighting father who stands up to corruption while his son indulges in bribery. Also starring Manisha Koirala, Senthil, Goudamani, Ambika, and others, Indian became such a commercial success that a sequel is currently being made. Shankar and Kamal Haasan have joined hands once again, with the actor reprising his older role. Indian's music was composed by AR Rahman. Tracks like Telephone Manipol and Pachai Kiligal became instant and evergreen hits.

Kamal Haasan’s Tenali is directed by KS Ravikumar. A perfect concoction of comedy and drama, the film is about a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee who has numerous phobias and comes to a doctor in search of a cure.
