Puli is a 2015 released Tamil fantasy action-adventure film starring Vijay in the lead role. The film is directed by filmmaker Chimbu Deven and has the actor play dual roles, as the demon prince and his son. Puli is about Maru Dheeran who is on a quest to rescue his lover Pavazhamalli from the clutches of creatures with superior powers. But before that, he must defeat a dark sorceress. Sridevi, Hansika Motwani, Shruti Haasan, Sudeep, Prabhu and Nandita Swetha are part of the cast.

Little John is a 2001 fantasy film which was written and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. The film stars American actor Bentley Mitchum, Jyothika, Anupam Kher, and Nassar, among others. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil, English, and Hindi. Little John is about an American student of architecture, John, who comes to India to research temples. However, in a turn of events, a saint shrinks him to the size of a thumbnail and it is up to John to find a missing relic to regain his form.

Kaashmora is a horror fantasy film directed by Gokul. The film stars Karthi in double roles and essays both the protagonist and villain, while Nayanthara and Sri Divya play prominent roles in the film. Kaashmora is about a con artist who claims that he can converse with ghosts. As he loots a politician's money, he ends up being locked in a palace that is possessed by spirits from past centuries.

Ayalaan is directed by Ravikumar and stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The film is about an alien who visits the earth and gets acquainted with a farmer.
