From being declared an overnight superstar to seeing the biggest downfall and bouncing back as Bollywood's biggest superhero, Hrithik Roshan's journey to Krrish was filmy in itself

Hrithik Roshan started his journey with superstardom. The actor, who joined Bollywood as a part of The Roshans aka Rakesh Roshan's son, soon became the hearthrob of India with his debut film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai itself. After seeing his lowest phase, Hrithik bounced back with Koi... Mil Gaya and thus began his journey of Krrish. As he now waits to take on a new role as Krrish 4's director, here's tracing his journey to being Bollywood's biggest superhero, all of which began 19 years back.
Hrithik Roshan started his Bollywood journey with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. A simple film inspired from his real-life love story with now ex-wife Susanne Khan, Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai won hearts. Hrithik, launched by his father Rakesh Roshan, became an overnight star and was said to be the man to give competition to Shah Rukh Khan's superstardom. Of course, the legendary music and dance steps really gave the actor a stage to be tagged as a superstar in the making.
Among the many films which only did fairly well at the Box Office since, Hrithik Roshan was seen in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein. The movie underperformed but is still remembered for being a work of art. This was just before Hrithik would step back into the world of glamour with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Starring SRK and Hrithik as brothers, K3G was truly iconic in all sense and the bar was raised.
By this point, Hrithik Roshan mastered overacting (internet says so), for his energy levels were high when the movie scripts were at an all-time low. Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon both became iconic but not for how the cast and crew would have wanted it. Nonetheless, it was just Hrithik trying to kickstart what would be iconic in its true sense and thus, he could be forgiven for the movies.
Hrithik Roshan-starrer Koi... Mil Gaya saw him play extreme roles. Born as a slow learner, Rohit accidentally summoned an alien, named him Jadoo and kept him hidden from the world. In return, Jadoo gifted Rohit superpowers. This set the base for the biggest Bollywood superhero we know today, Krrish.
Bollywood got its first biggest superhero, Krrish. Hrithik Roshan had turned into the desi version of Batman and was out to save the world from evil with the help of his allies. He did so till Krrish 3, but now, with Krrish 4 announcement and the actor turning director for it, there's no surety if we would find a new Krrish. Fans, of course, demand that Hrithik return as Krrish, but this time, Rakesh Roshan is off the director's chair and his son Hrithik has taken over the journey that commenced 19 years back.
