Boat 

Boat is a survival drama, written and directed by filmmaker Chimbu Deven. The film stars Yogi Babu in the lead role, along with a cast comprising of Gouri Kishan, MS Bhaskar, Chinni Jayanth, Chaams, Jangiri Madhumitha, Sha Ra, Kulappulli Leela and others. Boat is set during World War 2 and as India grapples with bomb attacks, a group of individuals from different walks of lives get into a boat owned by Yogi Babu. However, it is time some of them have to be offloaded given the boat cannot withstand the weight and is sinking.

Kolamavu Kokila 

Kolamavu Kokila is a 2018 black comedy crime film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, starring Nayanthara in the lead role. The story revolves around Kokila, a young woman who engages in drug smuggling to support her family after her mother is diagnosed with cancer. Yogi Babu plays the role of Sekar, a quirky and comical suitor of the titular character as he loves her one sided and tries to impress Kokila.

Kasethan Kadavulada 

Kasethan Kadavulada is the remake of the 1972 Tamil film of the same name. The 2013 film is directed by R Kannan, and stars Shiva, Priya Anand, Yogi Babu, and Urvashi. The film revolves around a man who along with his friends and his accomplices plan to steal money from his stingy sister-in-law. Yogi Babu plays the fake godman who is asked to play the role in order to deceive the sister-in-law.

Bommai Nayagi 

Bommai Nayagi is a social drama directed by Shan. The film has Yogi Babu play the lead role who plays a simpleton who dotes after his young daughter. However, when something terrible happens to the child, the father goes all lengths to get justice for her. Bommai Nayagi is backed by Pa Ranjith.

Mandela - Netflix 

Mandela is a political satire directed by Madonne Ashwin in his debut. Starring Yogi Babu in the lead role, which went on to define his career, the film is set in a small village divided by caste politics. Yogi Babu plays a barber named Nelson Mandela, whose vote becomes the deciding factor in a local election. Exploring the themes of casteism, politics, and swing voting, Mandela received National Film Award for Best Debut Film of a Director and Best Screenplay (Dialogues).
