Daveed

Antony Varghese packs a solid punch with this Malayalam film on boxing. The action-packed movie follows a bouncer who takes on a challenge against a Turkish boxing champion, giving a spin to the classic tale of David and Goliath. Lijomol Jose of Jai Bhim fame, Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup and Kichu Tellus appear in other key roles.

Identity  

Another action-packed film from Malayalam but this time the stakes are much higher as a cop seeks the help of sketch artist to identify the culprit in a murder case which only has one eye witness. Tovino Thomas leads this slick actioner, which was lauded for fight sequences and a brillaint car chase. Vinay Rai and Trisha Krishnan play the other key roles in the film.

Super Sharanya  

Girish AD's film follows small-town girl Sharanya, as she navigates life in her engineering college. Her quibbles and interactions with her girls' gang, which includes Mamitha Baiju as 'Sona Re', elevate this film. Bromance star Arjun Ashokan and Naslen are also part of the film, which will make for a perfect weekend watch.

Operation Java 

Operation Java marks the directorial debut of Tharun Moorthy, who is hogging the limelight currently for his latest film with Mohanlal, Thudarum. Operation Java follows two engineering graduates as they help a cyber cell team in Kochi to solve crimes. Balu Varghese and Lukman Avaran play the lead roles in the film, which also has Binu Pappu, Irshad and Vinayakan.

Carbon

Fahadh Faasil appears as Sibi Stephen who is always on the lookout for twisted ways to make a quick buck. After he hears that a treasure was hidden in a jungle, he sets out on a quest into the deep woods to find it. Mamta Mohandas plays the enigmatic Sameera in this film, which won several Kerala State Film Awards.
