DC Studios most-anticipated movies/series of 2026 and beyond: Tom Rhys Harries Clayface to Kyle Chandler's Lanterns

DC Studios has recently shared their exciting plans of launching new superhereos from the comic book as live-action characters as well as animated versions all under a big promotional push they mentioned as, DC Next Level, that are eyeing their grand releases next year in 2026 and beyond. DC has a vast collection of movies and series coming next year such as Clayface, Lanters, Supergirl, and more. Supergirl

Release date: June 26

This DC comic character was first appeared on Action Comics #252 in 1959. She is the cousin of Superman and one of the last surviving Kryptonians. Later made its live-action appearance in the 1984 movie portayed by Helen Slater. Supergirl was last appearaed on the 2015 TV show where Melissa Benoist portayed the titular character. Now after a decade-long period, DC brings Supergirl back in another live-action movie and this time Milly Alcock has been roped in for the superhero role.

Clayface

Release date: September 11

This DC superhereo was first appeared in Detective Comics #40 in the year 1940. However, his transformation into a shape-shifter was introduced much later in Detective Comics #496 in 1980. Clayface is going to make a return with a live-action movie played by Tom Rhys Harries. In the upcoming movie, Clayface is actually Matt Hagen who's an actor with a disfigured face, and he turns to a scientist (Ackie) who transforms his body into clay.

Lanterns

Release date: Early months of 2026

The Green Lanters–Hal Jordan and John Stewart–return for a mini-series releasing in 2026. The characters are played by Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre in the Lanterns series that claims to the third one in DC Universe. The TV series will feature Jordan and Stewart investigating a murder on Earth. Lanters series will be released on HBO Max in the US and Indian viewers might be available to watch on JioHotstar (accessible via OTTplay Premium) later.

The Batman Part II

Release date: 1st October 2027

Robert Pattinson returns to portray the titular role of Batman in the sequel to his 2022 movie. For now we only got the information that Zoe Kravits, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jaffery Weight, and Andy Serkis are the pivotal cast of The Batman Part II. This sequel was already announced long back after its original release. However, the storyline is still under wraps but with the Arkham Asylum potentially being introduced, fans can expect to see more villains.
