This drama movie made its world premiere at the 27th Busal International Film Festival in 2022, later released digitally on JioHotstar in January 2025. The Storyteller is based on Satyajit Ray's short story 'Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro'. Rawal plays Tarini Bandyopadhyay, a witty veteran Bengali storyteller, who has been hired to tell bedtime stories to a Gujarati businessman, suffering from Insomnia, and gets exploited by him later.

Another drama flick that follows the story Mitesh Meghani, an ambitious middle-class man, who dreams of owning the magnificent Utsav Villa in his neighborhood, which is owned by an elderly man named Govinda (Paresh Rawal), living alone. Mitesh desparation to acquire the villa turns dark as he tries to con Govinda, involving a reverse mortgage scheme and an attempt to manipulate him into altering his will.

This family drama is the Hindi remake of Jisshu Sengupta's 2017 Bengali movie, Posto. The movie is about a custody battle between a paternal grandfather and his son over the grandson. Paresh Rawal plays the grandfather, a traditionalist who fights to keep his grandson from moving abroad with his father, while the father believes his little son needs to be with his own family, exploring modern-day parenting, generational differences, and the emotional complexities of guardianship.

This thriller drama highlights the 2002 Gujarat riots, following the violence and its aftermath. Directed by Nandita Das, Firaaq shows Paresh Rawal's character as Sanjay who's a materialistic man and takes advantage of the communal tensions. Sanjay is the husband of Deepti Naval's character Aarti who's a middle-class housewife, consumed by guilt over her past actions. The movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanjay Suri, Shahana Goswami, and Tisca Chopra.

This thriller drama features Paresh Rawal, Rajeev Khandelwal and Tina Desai in the leads. Table No. 21 shows the consequences of student ragging with a dramatic revenge plot. The story follows Rawal as Mr. Khan who invites a married couple for a reality game show with a prize money of Rs 21 crore. Eight extremely personal questions will be asked that must be answered truthfully, and each one must complete a task related to the question. Lie detectors are attached to the couple's wrists, with rules that if they lie, they die.
