Comali marks Pradeep Ranganathan's directorial debut. It has Ravi Mohan and Kajal Aggarwal as the lead pair, with actors Yogi Babu, Samyuktha Hegde and KS Ravikumar rounding off the cast. M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi is a 2004 Tamil sports family drama featuring Ravi Mohan, Asin, Nadhiya, Prakash Raj, Vivek and others. Directed by Mohan Raja, this film is a remake of the Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, and marked Nadhiya's comeback after 10 years. The film revolves around a mother and son who live affectionately. However, his mother's demise prompts the son to meet his estranged father, who now lives in Malaysia with his new family.
