Viduthalai- Part 1 - ZEE5

Cast: Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre


Viduthalai- Part 1 is the first instalment of the duology helmed by Vetrimaaran. The period action-drama stars Soori in his maiden lead role. He plays the role of a newly recruited cop who is entrusted with the mission to capture a revolutionary leader, essayed by Vijay Sethupathi. The film also stars Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chetan, Bhavani Sre and others. Viduthalai was screened at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and has music by Ilaiyaraaja. The film is available on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.

Aadukalam - SunNXT

Cast: Dhanush, Taapsee Pannu, Kishore

Aadukalam is headlined by Dhanush and also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kishore, VIS Jayapalan, Naren Narayanan, and Murugadoss among others. The film bagged six National Film Awards for the year 2010, including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor. Aadukalam revolves around rooster fights that is common in Madurai. Dhanush plays the lead role, Karuppu, who ventures into the world of rooster fights, that is embroiled with much more problems. You can stream the film on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.

Polladhavan - SunNXT

Cast: Dhanush, Ramya, Daniel Balaji

Polladhavan marks Vetrimaaran's directorial debut and stars Dhanush, Ramya, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, Chetan and others. The film is about a particular bike theft incident that changes the life of a young man who owns the vehicle. Polladhavan received a positive response upon its release and was remade in several languages. The film is available on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.

Vada Chennai - SonyLIV

Cast: Dhanush, Ameer, Andrea Jeremiah

Vada Chennai is a gangster drama released in 2018 and stars Dhanush in the lead role. The film is about Anbu, a carrom player who gets involved in a gang war between two thug groups. A sequel for the film was announced. Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Ameer, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore, Pawan, Aishwarya Rajesh and others. Visaranai – Netflix

Cast: Dinesh, Anandhi

Visaranai is a crime drama film which is based on M Chandrakumar's novel Lock Up. It stars Dinesh, Anandhi, Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Kishore, Pradheesh Raj, and Silambarasan Rathnasamy among others. The film revolves around the police trial of two men who are captured and tortured for a confession.
