There is one topic that has been constantly discussed when it comes to romance in Bollywood movies. This, in particular, is stalking. The very act of following a girl around till she says yes is normalised through films and is often mistaken for, yes, romance. Babil Khan's Logout breaks the romance norm (well, almost) and focuses on stalking with the help of the cyber world, but it is stalking nonetheless.

Here are some Hindi movies where stalking led to serious consequences...

Logout - Mental harassment

A social media influencer named Pratyush (Babil Khan) gets cyber-bullied as his fan goes lengths to demand his attention. From getting access to his accounts to threatening the lives of people Pratyush holds close, he is now facing the horrors of the world that brought him instant fame. Every day that passes by, Pratyush struggles to differentiate between what's real and what's virtual. This psychological thriller is Zee5's latest offering that can be streamed via OTTplay Premium.

Deewana - Causing second lead to die in a dramatic fashion

When a movie features Shah Rukh Khan, you can be assured that stalking is involved. That is exactly the case with Deewana, where Raja (SRK) stalks widowed Kajal (Divya Bharti) till she falls for him. She eventually does, only for her husband Ravi (Rishi Kapoor) to return from the dead and die a dramatic death so that the couple can live happily.

Tere Naam - Psychological syndrome that drives a man to the verge of death

Radhe (Salman Khan) is your college goon who gets what he wants. Inspiring a whole generation with his 'macho' and 'stalking' skills, Radhe was driven to the verge of mental illness and death when the only girl he truly fell for, while 'trying to live his life to the fullest', got married into another household and lived a life she deserved. Radhe is your typical stalker with his 'I want it, I get it' mentality (except he didn't get what he wanted) and was driven to insanity instead.

Raanjhanaa - Where the lead actor gives up on his own life

Kundan (Dhanush) fell for Zoya (Sonam Kapoor) at first sight and decided that she would become the only love of his life. Not knowing consent, he decided that the best way to get noticed is by stalking her. When Zoya finally decides to follow her heart and marry Akram (Abhay Deol) instead, Kundan tries to forget her, only to come back stronger with a Love Jihad agenda. Eventually losing his will to live, Kundan decides he will try to find his way with Zoya in another lifetime, too.

Jeet - Stalker dies after a dramatic turn of events

A goon named Karan (Sunny Deol) starts following Kajal (Karisma Kapoor) around after killing a man around her. She falls for him too, despite noticing that Karan is a hitman, and decides to get married to Raju (Salman Khan) instead. Karan is ordered to kill Raju, but ends up dying a rather glorious death, because what's Bollywood if not dramatic? And what's a love story if not dedicated to the stalker?

Fan - Psychological impact kills the fan

Known for giving hits through psychological thrillers, Shah Rukh Khan struck a chord again with Fan. Gaurav Chandna looks just like his idol, Aryan Khanna, which is where the story takes a dark turn after the idol rejects his fan. Gaurav pledges revenge and stalks every move by Aryan, only to ruin his idol's image (after beating up others who tried doing so). After succeeding in doing so, Gaurav is driven to kill himself, and so, he jumps off the roof when Aryan is around, all with a smile on his face. Now, Gaurav's image haunts Aryan for life.
