While several Malayalam thrillers were released in theatres and did well at the box office in the first half of 2025, some of the most anticipated films starring the most loved actors in the industry will be released in the second half. Hridyapoorvam

After nearly a decade, Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad united again for Hridayapoorvam. According to the most recent details, the team has completed filming, and the movie is expected to be released in Onam 2025. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead role in this family drama. The cast also includes Siddique, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Sabitha, Sangita Madhavan Nair, and Sangeeth Prathap in supporting roles.

Lokah Chapter One: Chandra

The main actors in the movie are Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan. The makers of the movie have already acknowledged that it is part of the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe. The first poster depicts Kalyani as an gifted warrior who must fight an anonymous foe while Naslen plays the part of a mortal. The fact that the film is a fantasy thriller is obvious. 

Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira

Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan play the main roles in this romantic comedy. The eagerly anticipated film, which aims to depict a distinctive coming-of-age love tale, is scheduled to be released in Onam 2025. Starring Lal, Renji Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Dhyan Sreenivasan, and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, the film is directed by actor and filmmaker Althaf Salim.

Bha Bha Ba

Since its announcement in 2023, Dileep's movie, Bha Bha Ba, has been in the news for a while. After a run of poor box office results, it has been praised as the actor's most intriguing movie of the year and is expected to give him the much-needed successful comeback. Dileep is anticipated to have a humorous role in Bha Bha Ba, which will also have some noteworthy appearances from well-known Malayalam celebrities.

Tiki Taka

Film enthusiasts are likely to have a "never-before experience" with this much awaited project, according to its producers. Asif Ali recently disclosed on social media that the action thriller will be released on theatres by the end of this year. Lukman Avaran and Wamiqa Gabbi play significant parts in the film as well. After Adventures of Omanakuttan and Iblis, this is director Rohit V. S.'s third collaboration with Asif Ali.
