He is also known as AK-74, a notorious gangster who causes terror in a city and tries to forcefully marry a woman named Simrit, when the protagonist, Karan (Vidyut Jammwal), a discredited Indian commando, helps him escape.
In Aakrosh, Jaideep Ahlawat was seen as Pappu Tiwari, who is involved in the thuggery of a local strongman. The plot follows a CBI investigating the disappearance of three medical students in a remote village, which is believed to be an honor killing. In the film, Ajay Devgn played Pratap Kumar, a CBI officer, and Akshaye Khanna was seen as Siddhant Chaturvedi, another CBI officer. It also features Bipasha Basu, Paresh Rawal, and others.

In the film Maharaj, Jaideep Ahlawat played the role of a self-proclaimed godman, Jadunath Maharaj (JJ). He executes his manipulative tactics with his calm demeanor and exploits his female followers. The film is based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case.
