The audience praised Gaurav Menon's performance as Ben in this film.

As soon as Vasu learnt that his stepmother was expecting a child, he became extremely happy. After the infant is born, Vasu gives him his full attention and love. But when his parents, Vishwanathan and Meera, begin to ignore Vasu, things go wrong and their lives are forever altered. The portrayal of Vasu by Kalidas Jayaram would make viewers weep.

They attempt to bring their parents together in order to accomplish this, but their past lives pose trouble for them.
