Lucifer

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s debut directorial delved into the political struggle after the Chief Minister's death. Thalappavu

Another Prithviraj Sukumaran thriller, but far-removed the world of Empuraan with its arms-wielding assailants. Prithviraj plays Varghese, a Naxalite, who is gunned who is killed by police constable Ramachandran in a fake encounter. The critically acclaimed film follows the mental trauma of the hapless constable. 

Arjunan Sakshi

Architect Roy Mathew moves to Kochi, but to his shock, finds that he is mistaken to be Arjun, who is witness in a high-profile murder case. Ranjith Sankar has directed this thriller film, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Roy and Ann Augustine as journalist Anjali Menon. Biju Menon, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Vijayaraghavan play other key roles in the film. 

Anwar

Another action thriller film by Big B director Amal Neerad. NRI youth Anwar returns to Kerala for his sister's wedding. He falls for his sister's friend Ayehsa. But his family gets killed in a blast in Coimbatore. Prithviraj stars as Anwar in the film, which also features Mamtha Mohandas, Prakash Raj, Lal and Nithya Menen. 

Puthiya Mukham  

Krishnakumar, from a humble family, leads a simple life. But things take a turn after he joins an engineering college in Kochi, where he faces several challenges and must overcome them. Bala, Priyamani and Meera Nandan play other key supporting roles in the film. Though a thriller, the 2009 film is also still popular for the title track ‘Kaane Kaane’ sung by Prithviraj himself.
