As fate has it, both of them fall in love with one girl, with the latter taking a liking for the servant. The rest of the film is about how the friends come to know their real backgrounds. Manasukkul Mathappu – SunNXT

Manasukkul Mathappu is a 1988 film directed by Robert and Rajasekar and features Prabhu, Saranya, Lissy, Sarath Babu and Senthamarai, among others. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Thalavattam. After a man falls mentally ill after seeing the girl he loves so much die, he gets admitted to an asylum. The rest of the film is about how the doctor treating him falls in love with him.

Annamalai - Prime Video

Annamalai is a 1992 Tamil film starring Rajinikanth and Sarath Babu in the lead roles, along with Khushbu, Manorama and others. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Khudgarz. Annamalai is about two best friends who are poles apart in their financial statuses. While the titular character is a milkman, Ashok is the heir of a business empire. The latter's father tries to create a rift between the two, setting a sage of revenge and redemption. The film is directed by Suresh Krissna.

Mullum Malarum – Aha

Mullum Malarum is a 1978 Tamil film starring Rajinikanth, Sarath Babu, Jayalaxmi and Shoba. Directed by Mahendran in his directorial debut, the film is about a winch operator who is very fond of his sister and are orphans who look out for each other. Mullum Malarum is about the constant conflict between the brother and his boss, played by Sarath Babu. Mullum Malarum ran for more than 100 days in theatres and became one of the most iconic performative films in Rajinikanth's career.
