Sonakshi carved out a niche for herself in the industry after making a striking debut alongside Salman Khan in Dabangg. Lootera on Disney+ Hotstar

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and based on O. Henry's 'The Last Leaf', Lootera is a period romance drama. The film received critical acclaim for Sonakshi and Ranveer Singh's performances in this film filled with emotional depth and intriguing storyline. The film revolves around an archaeologist (Varun) and an aristocrat's daughter (Pakhi). When Pakhi falls in love with Varun, she doesn't realise that her life is in trouble as he leads a double life that threatens their relationship. 

Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi on ZEE5

Released in the year 2018, Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi is a Hindi comedy starring Jimmy Shergill, Jassie Gill, Diana Penty, Ali Fazal, and Piyush Mishra with Sonakshi. The film is a sequel to Diana Penty starrer Happy Bhag Jayegi. The narrative of the film revolves around errors when goons in China mistakenly kidnap a horticulture professor, Happy, instead of her namesake who traveled by the same flight. The film will take you on a laughter rollercoaster ride along with impressive performances. 

Son Of Sardaar on Prime Video

Son of Sardaar stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. The film is an action comedy that is still loved by viewers for its comedy and performances. It is a remake of a Telugu film Maryada Ramanna that also has a cameo appearance by Salman Khan. The narrative of the film is about two rival families of which one family wants Jaswinder (Ajay) to be dead. It is one of those evergreen films that will crack you up every time you watch it. 

Ittefaq on Netflix

Sonakshi's performance in Ittefaq was compelling. In this neo-noir mystery thriller, the actress plays Maya, a young homemaker who is entangled in a double murder investigation. The film, which is directed by Abhay Chopra keeps the audiences hooked till the end with its gripping storyline. Apart from Sonakshi, the film also stars Akshaye Khanna and Sidharth Malhotra.
