Soubin Shahir has been wooing audiences with his impeccable comic timing and character roles for the past decade or so. The Kumbalangi Nights actor, who has also made a mark with his directorial stint with Parava, has starred in several notable films such as Sudani From Nigeria and Android Kunjappan Version 5.25. More recently, he starred alongside Basil Joseph in Pravinkoodu Shappu, which also featured Chemban Vinod Jose in a key role. Soubin Shahir starred in the lead role in Sudani From Nigeria, which followed Majeed, who is the manager of a local football team in Malappuram. After one of his star players Samuel, affectionately called Sudu, gets injured, it is left to Majeed and his mother to take care of him. The moving performance of the cast is the strength of this film, which won multiple awards, including the Kerala State Award (Best Actor) for Soubin.
Soubin Shahir joined hands with another stellar Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu for this comedy-drama. Soubin played Subramanian, the son of 70-year-old Bhaskaran Poduval. Subramanian sets up a robot for his elderly father as he leaves the country for work. Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s delightful film is much liked by the audiences.
Harikrishnan, who has not been lucky in his romantic relationships, and his cousin meet a person at a bar. They narrate his story to the person (played by Soubin Shahir) who helps Hari find his life partner. The Omar Lulu film starred Siju Wilson as Hari, and Sharaf U Dheen as his cousin.
Starring an ensemble cast, this gripping film narrates the events following the deadly Nipah outbreak in north Kerala in 2018. Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Revathi, Soubin Shahir, Poornima Indrajith, and Rahman were part of this acclaimed film, directed by Aashiq Abu.
Dileep starred in the lead role in Chandrettan Evideya, which narrates the tale of a government official, Chandramohan. During a trip to Thanjavur with his family, Chandramohan meets an astrologer who tells him about his previous life. Soubin played Sumesh in the film, which also featured Anusree, Namitha Pramod, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mukesh.
