Lock Upp: Chetan Bhagat to join Poonam Pandey, Shehnaaz Gill on Kangana Ranaut’s show?

Kangana Ranaut’s OTT debut is certainly gearing up to be an exciting one. Within days of announcing the star’s upcoming reality show Lock Upp, several reports have been coming up about who might be the contestants, who will find themselves at Ranaut’s mercy on the show. Among the names floated included those of Poonam Pandey and even Anushka Sen. It was recently reported that another popular celebrity is also in talks of joining the show, Chetan Bhagat.

According to a report by Bollywood Life, the author was approached to be a part of the show, although his acceptance of the offer is still in question. The report also mentioned that Om Swami, Rohman Shawl and Shehnaaz Gill were also in talks of joining Lock Upp.

The upcoming reality show was announced last week at a grand event held in Mumbai. Ranaut will serve as host on the series, which will mark her digital debut. The upcoming show, produced by Ekta Kapoor, will feature 16 celebrity contestants, all of whom are touted to be controversial in one way or the other. Stripped of their amenities, they will be locked up and given a series of tasks to complete to earn their freedom. The show also features some level of audience participation, as viewers will be given the chance to interact with the contestants and even ‘reward’ or ‘punish’ them. At the event, Ranaut had referred to the show as ‘the most fearless show ever’.

Lock Upp will be available to stream on ALTBalaji and MX Player from February 27, 2022.
