Lock Upp day 17 written update: Ali Merchant reveals he was living in with Sara Khan for two years before their wedding

Before day 17 in the Lock Upp house begins, Shivam Sharma mistakenly opening the washroom door while Payal Rohatgi is still in it. She barely reacts to that initially.

It is Ali Merchant's first whole day in the house. Soon, Payal and Karanvir Bohra have an argument over she asking him to make tea in the morning. Karanvir says listening to her is a 'paschatap' and she 'drags a matter' just like they grind adrak (ginger).

Poonam Pandey tries to explain Payal but her argument with Karanvir extends further. Poonam loses it on her too and asks her to suck her dash. Meanwhile, Payal discusses the situation with Ali. She says that both the leaders behave friendly but are against each other.

Payal tries to talk to Saisha Shinde, who refuses to comment on the matter. She asks Payal to let her fight her own battles. Payal then approaches Munawar Faruqui and Saisha clears the air from her side wih him also. Munawar says that nobody should take stands for each other.

Anjali says it is Ghar Ghar Kii Kahanii. Meanwhile, Payal cries and tells Munawar he hurt her by nominating her every week. She says Karanvir is trying to pull her down. The actress then tells Munawar that he should not hurt religious sentiments. He says that five seconds out of the three hour video was taken out of context. While Munawar tries to explain her what exactly happened, Karanvir comes in the scenario and asks her to go back to her side of the jail because she is breaking a rule. Payal walks out without any commentary. After that, Karanvir tries to understand what happened between Payal and Munawar. The comedian tells Karanvir she said that the actor was 'bullying her'.

Siddharth Sharma is heard talking to Nisha Rawal about his father. He spoke about how his life changed completely after his untimely demise. Calling his father a powerful man, Siddharth said that his father had consumed alcohol and had head injury. The actor says he blames himself for what happened. He then breaks down remembering the incident. After Nisha probed him, Siddharth opened up more and said that his father was so possessive that he didn't let him even ride a cycle thinking he would get scratches. Nisha gives him a hug as he breaks down. Saisha, Sara, Poonam and Karanvir also console him. Karanvir says he now has three children.

Payal asks Ali to talk about him and Sara. He recalled being 23 and seeing it as an opportunity to be married. Ali reveals he was living in with Sara for two years before getting married. He spoke about the issues their families faced. Ali then recalled Sara's link-up with Ashmit Patel. He then spoke about being in a club and getting carried away. He says he regretted doing that a lot behind Sara's back and wanted to share it with her. The actor-turned-DJ then revealed that the girl already told Sara about what happened and so, he had no opportunity to control the damage. He then reveals she got in touch with him while he tried to move on.

Ali then talks to the cameras about nobody interesting him so far. He however is hopeful that it would be fun further.

The teams get a new task. Nisha feels she and Payal are the strongest players. Meanwhile, Poonam feels either Karanvir or Munawar should go. Eventually, Payal and Karanvir go in the snakes and ladder task. The task is called Main Naagin Tu Sapera. It is to test if the selected qaidi's answer matches that of others. The winning block will get access to private bathroom.

Payal goes first. The two go neck-to-neck. Karanvir wins a prize and Payal instantly wins too. Munawar talks about a dal paratha that Payal made and Babita Phogat claims she had made it.

Karanvir almost wins but goes back down. Payal, on the other hand, comes closer to the finish line. That is when there is a quote from the viewers, "Sara should give Ali another chance." To that statement, both Sara and Ali disagree and he asks, "Maang kaun raha hai?" After that, Sara says she will remove topics she hasn't so far. She says she's just respecting him on the show and it doesn't mean he can say whatever he wants to. The two have a huge argument as Ali says that the time has passed while Sara says it is her time again.

Payal and Karanvir go neck-to-neck even at the finish line. Payal needs two steps while Karanvir needs one. Later on, Payal also needs just one vote. Thanks to Munawar, Karanvir wins the game. With that, Team Blue now has access to private bathroom. Knowing what he did, Munawar broke down as he repayed Karanvir and earned his trust back.

Since Payal did not return her gifts, Team Orange will suffer the punishment. She then argues with Karanvir who broke her box of dry fruits. Payal and Munawar also have a fight over the same.

Sara is then seen talking to Ali. She says she wants to forget the past and move on in her life. She says that a tag has hampered her a lot ever since the incident. Ali asks Sara not to talk aggressively and be normal. Sara says even she wanted to have a word with him since the situation demanded that. She then goes on to add that neither of them want to see each other or go back in the past, which Ali corrects by saying that is just a perspective. The two then discuss their incident back then. Ali says they will talk about it later in life.

Sara is then heard talking to Karanvir about the same. She says she is done. The actress then says that it's done and nothing can happen between them again. She says she won't harm his image but says the past is dirty from his side and she doesn't want to come out with that because it will put him down. Karanvir tells Sara that Ali has come on the show with an agenda and thus, he asks Sara to give it back when she has to.

Sara talks to Karanvir about the Goa incident. She said that her friends got very angry because he tried to talk to her. The actress then says she got messages and calls from him. She says that nobody wants to see him with her. During the discuss, Karanvir asks Sara to let Ali talk and that they clear things out on the show itself.

Later, Sara talks to Saisha about Munawar. She asks Saisha why is she hurting her own self by thinking about Munawar when she knows nothing will happen between them. Saisha says she doesn't want Munawar to reciprocate her feelings. She says she doesn't want to lose her emotions for him, which Sara warns she will. The actress tells the fashion designer to have fun but not get played. Later at night, Saisha breaks down. Nisha tries to console her with a hug but Saisha refuses it fearing she will break down. Nisha says that every time Saisha breaks down, Munawar is getting stronger. She reminds Saisha that she has everything to lose while Munawar has everything to gain.
