Munawar ki janta might just be up for some sad news. Even though most of the people were confident that Munawar Faruqui would win Lock Upp, Kangana Ranaut just changed the game. She announced that like every Judgement Day, where she decides who deserves to stay on the show and who should leave, the same rule applies for Lock Upp Badass Finale.

In short, Kangana confirmed that Munawar might just not be the winner, at least not solely based on the votes. According to various reports doing the rounds, Munawar has received the highest votes. Kangana confirmed the same hinting that a contestant (Munawar) received at least 18 lakh votes.

Yes, Munawar broke the record and got higher votes than even the other five finalists aka Payal Rohatgi, Shivam Sharma, Prince Narula, Azma Fallah and Anjali Arora’s votes combined but that does not make him a winner, not yet. Kangana will take a decision about who deserves to win the show and the winner will be of her choice.

So far in the game, Kangana has shown her full support to Payal Rohatgi. She has tagged her as badass and today, Payal stands between the other kaidis, in the grand finale. However, every other contestant has given her a tough competition. It remains to be seen whether Kangana would still pick Payal as Lock Upp’s winner or someone else.

There has been a time when Kangana has praised every finalists’ game on the show. Apart from Payal, she has called Shivam her favourite contestant, Prince a gamechanger, Azma chota packet bada dhamaka and Anjali as the dark horse. She has not been too fond of Munawar but praised his game nonetheless.

Among the finalists, Shivam was the first confirmed contestant. Weeks later, Prince became the second confirmed contestant. While Munawar, Payal, Prince, Azma and even Shivam have shown some kind of consistency, Anjali has received the lowest votes at one given point of time.

Time will reveal who is the winner of this ‘atyachaari khel.’ Catch Lock Upp Badass Finale at 10.30 pm today. The show will stream on AltBalaji and MX Player.
