Kangana Ranaut has launched her show Lock Upp with the mention of her huge controversy – nepotism. At the grand premiere of the show, Kangana said that she will make sure that there is no nepotism in her jail. She hinted at her Koffee with Karan controversy with Karan Johar.
As soon as the show began, Kangana announced that people who haven't spoken to her for five years are scared. She mentioned the same at least thrice on the show.
The actress added that these acquaintances are now calling her to stay on her good terms. She said they are scared she will throw them in her jail.
Kangana also said that 'nepotism' won't work in her jail. That was a direct comment on filmmaker Karan Johar, who Kangana had called off on Koffee with Karan. She had said that KJo’s biography would be called ‘flagbearer of nepotism’.
Later, Raveena Tandon greeted Kangana on the show for a special reason – she will be a jailor on the show in the coming week. She then told Kangana that the actress is creating a storm outside the show.
Kangana then defended herself saying that she has improved people's behaviour, hinting at her recent comment on Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt – about how she appreciated their work since she saw an improvement. Understanding Kangana’s comment, Raveena coughed almost instantly. The two did not talk about it further.
Similarly, Lock Upp contestant Payal Rohatgi accused Kangana of picking on Gangubai Kathiawadi and Gehraiyaan. She told Kangana that she talks about Alia Bhatt and her movie and thus, Payal too has the right to say what she wants. Meanwhile, Kangana simply ignored Payal and told her not to dive into her controversy but create her own.
Lock Upp was launched on February 27. The show will be out at 10 pm everyday. It will also be available for viewing 24x7 on AltBalaji and MX Player.
