Lock Upp: Munawar Faruqui remembers his parents and cries; Karan Kundrra consoles him, calls him a 'sweetheart'

Munawar Faruqui is one of the most controversial celeb inside Lock Upp. The 30-year-old comedian's standup content has been a topic of debate on several occasions. Even on the premiere episode, Kangana Ranaut mentioned that he has been charged for hurting the religious sentiments of the people with his gigs in public and that's why he is going inside her 'jail.' Although, in a recent episode, the Indian standup comedian can be seen crying his heart out as he remembers his deceased parents.

In a recent episode, Munawar was asked to reveal a secret about his mother according to the contract. The Indian comedian got emotional and couldn't talk about it at all. After a while, he got very sentimental and started crying as he remembered his parents. Karan Kundrra came inside the jail and consoled him. The jailor tried to cheer him up and mentioned that his parents are always with him, they are watching him all the time. Karan also called him a sweetheart.

The makers unveiled a small clip from the last episode, and took to their official IG handle and wrote, "@kkundrra and @munawar.faruqui holding each other is what we needed to see today. For the unversed, Munawar and his family shifted to Mumbai a few years after the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat. Reportedly, the Indian comedian lost his mother in his childhood, while his father passed away a few years ago. Before stepping into comedy, he has worked as a graphic designer.

Apart from being a standup comedian, Munawar also likes to write and rap.
