Lock Upp: Nisha Rawal opens up about her ex-husband Karan Mehra's 'extra-marital affair' on Kangana Ranaut's show

The new reality show, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, is turning heads with some shocking revelations. The show premiered on February 28 and has contestants locked up in prisons with all basic amenities snatched from them. 

Two of the contestants, Nisha Rawal and Payal Rohatgi seem to be lending their shoulders to cry on for each other. In the recent episode, Nisha is seen sharing her sorrow with Payal and getting emotional about her 14-year-old relationship with her ex-husband Karan Mehra. She claimed that Karan had admitted to having had an extra-marital affair. 

Nisha is often seen talking about her past on the show. She told Payal, "He said, 'I am in love with someone else and I am in love with you too. Once my trust broke, I couldn't have faith in him at all," and she broke down. Payal consoles her saying she is a strong woman and she can get over it. Nisha went on to also say that her separation from Karan turned ugly and he even refused to take responsibility for their son, Kavish. 

She also opened up about how difficult it was for her to deal with the entire issue. She told Payal that Karan continued seeing the other woman after admitting about his affair. Nisha was then living with her mother and she had to hide it from her and also pretend like everything is okay in front of her child. 

Karan was arrested on May 31, 2021, and soon later, left out on bail after Nisha filed a complaint against him at Goregaon Police Station. In an earlier interview with IndiaToday.in, Karan had said he was falsely accused by Nisha and her brother, Rohit Sethiya. He said the couple wasn't happy in marriage for a long time and they were discussing if they should work things out or part their ways. Later, Nisha talked to the media, saying he had an affair and also abused her. She said he started having an affair when he was shooting for a TV programme in Chandigarh and began staying away from the family.
