Logout trailer is out

A ZEE5 original movie, Logout, is set to highlight the side effects of social media and how it affects daily life. Starring Babil Khan as a social media influencer, the trailer shows how he is addicted to his phone all the time that he almost deliberately neglects what is happening around him and even meets a road accident.

Pratyush (Babil Khan), a 26-year-old social media influencer who is aiming to reach 10 million followers, faces a dark side one day as a fan's obsessive desire drags him into a chilling game of cat and mouse. Logout is a wake-up call to the modern-day problem of digital dependence. People think everything on social media is true and blindly depend on it and act accordingly. Logout will captivate the viewers as it highlights the security of digital lives. 

Directed by Amit Golani and written by Biswapati Sarkar, Logout will land on ZEE5 on April 18. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription. The movie also stars Rasika Dugal in a key role.

Babil Khan on Logout

In a statement, Babil Khan said that his role truly pushed him out of his comfort zone, immersing him in the digital world — a space that’s both fascinating and dangerously unpredictable. 

"Playing a modern-day influencer and navigating the complexities of virtual success was a unique challenge, especially since my character is so different from who I am in real life. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a story that feels so relevant today, shedding light on the darker side of our online lives," he added. 

Babil also said that Logout is an intense, fast-paced thriller, and he is excited for fans to watch it. 

Director Amit Golani said that Logout has been an immensely rewarding experience as it explores how overdependence on our phones has crept into every aspect of life, and how helpless we can feel without them. 

"Babil has truly embodied his character, bringing it to life in a way that feels raw and authentic. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished.
