Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection Day 7: Kalyani Priyadarshan film set to surpass ARM and Marco on Onam weekend

Lokah Chapter 1-Chandra, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, is receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from film enthusiasts worldwide as well as celebrities across various industries. The fantasy thriller is becoming increasingly appreciated across the country, especially because it has raised expectations for Malayalam cinema. It is currently close to surpassing the records of some other Malayalam hits, including Marco and ARM. 

Lokah garners Rs 100 in box office

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Lokah has earned more than Rs 101 crore worldwide. It has also become the most successful South Indian film with a female star based on its total earnings. In the meantime, it is on the verge of surpassing the box office receipts of Unni Mukundan's Marco and Tovino Thomas's ARM, which debuted in theatres in Onam last year. Thudarum and L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, are still this year's highest grossing Malayalam films, with Lokah finishing in third. With a successful theatrical run in both Malayalam and other languages, it is expected that this movie will earn more money at the box office.

The cast and crew of the fantasy thriller conveyed their happiness for surpassing the Rs 100 crore record in a single week. Dulquer Salmaan, who also makes a cameo alongside Tovino Thomas and other Malayalam actors, is supporting this movie. Notable directors like Nag Ashwin attended a grand celebration in Hyderabad where the cast and crew expressed their gratitude for the enormous success. In an effort to attract more people and increase box office revenue, Lokah will also be released in Hindi on September 5. The movie, which also stars Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar and Sunny Wayne, is now being screened in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada apart from Malayalam.
