Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra box office collection day 27: Kalyani Priyadarshan-led superhero film has been performing consistently well at the ticket window, even on weekdays. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra has already made Rs 140.25 crore in its India net collections and looks on course to hit Rs 150 crore by the end of the weekend.

Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra, helmed by Dominic Arun, has made Rs 1.15 crore on day 27 (fourth Tuesday) at the box office. With this, the overall India net collection now stands Rs 140.25 crore,as per Sacnilk figures. Given how the Kalyani Priyadarshan film has stayed steady even in its fourth week, with the weekend expected to see a rise in collections, the film could well cross Rs 150 crore in India collections.

This would be yet another feat for the woman-led superhero film after becoming the all-time blockbuster in Malayalam by surpassing the Empuraan collections of Rs 266.8 crore. The Malayalam film has already crossed Rs 100 crore in Kerala and the overseas market, and Rs 50 crore from the rest of India collections. The total worldwide collections of Lokah are now at Rs 278.6 crore

Lokah vs Karam

Trade trackers have already predicted that Lokah could well be the first Malayalam film to break into Rs 300 crore. The only major Malayalam film set to hit theatres on September 25 is Karam, which is helmed by actor-filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan. Only if Karam opens with positive feedback will it pose any challenge to Lokah.

On the other hand, there is no official update on Lokah’s OTT release after producer Dulquer Salmaan said that the film would not drop on digital platforms anytime soon. Naslen is also part of Lokah, which is expected to land on Netflix after its theatrical run.
