Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra, the most recent Malayalam film, is hitting major box office earnings milestones every day. Through media interactions and social media, the film's creators are revealing minor yet important facts about the fantasy thriller. According to their latest post, the name Lokah was proposed by famed Malayalam lyricist Vinayak Sasikumar for the franchise.

In an Instagram post, the film's producers acknowledged Vinayak's involvement in the fantasy thriller's title. "Thank you Vinayak Sasikumar for Suggesting Lokah. The title that perfectly captures the franchise's spirit! An invitation to a new World, they wrote. The lyricist has also penned the soundtrack 'Shoka Mookam' of this movie." 

Vinayak is well-known for his several blockbusters in recent Malayalam films, including Marco, Bheeshma Parvam, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, and L2: Empuraan. His works in Aavesham starring Fahadh Faasil, which featured songs like "Galatta" and "Illuminati," won plaudits from viewers all over the world.

Lokah surpasses Thudarum's BO collection

According to Sacnilk's reports, the film has made a total of Rs 236.5 crore worldwide. After 18 days at the box office, the Dominic Arun-directed film broke the record of Mohanlal's 2025 thriller, Thudarum, which is now streaming on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium in multiple languages. Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2 Empuraan is currently in first place, having made an incredible Rs 266.81 crore at the box office this year. 

Due to their huge audience effect, Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra, which starred Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen in important roles, is currently in the spotlight after surpassing Premalu and Manjummel Boys' box office profits in the Telugu states last year. Prior to its OTT release, it is anticipated that this movie will soon cross the Rs 300 crore milestone in global box office receipts.
