Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra: Trailer depicts Kalyani as a superhero summoned by an unknown entity

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, have dropped its trailer a week ahead of its theatrical release on August 28. The video was unveiled at a grand event in Kochi today (August 24).

Kalyani Priyadarshan is portrayed in the two-minute, thirteen-second video as a young woman with superhuman abilities that have been summoned by an unidentified powerful person. She has been told to keep low, but the reason is unclear. In the meantime, three young people who live next door attempt to learn more about her. What happens when they meet her is extraordinary and much beyond their imagination. Overall, the trailer teases a distinctive cinematic experience for moviegoers this holiday season. 

The video's conclusion also teases a much-anticipated cameo that will be revealed after the film's theatrical debut. A teaser for this fantasy thriller has already been released by the producers, and it has undoubtedly caught moviegoers' attention.

Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra release date

The movie will be released in theatres the coming Friday (August 28), along with Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam, which is directed by popular filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. It has already been announced that the film is part of the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe, with prequels and sequels planned. Dominic Arun directed this fantasy thriller, which was written by actress Santhy Balachandran. They both worked together on Tharangam. Rumour has it that Tovino Thomas and Dulquer Salmaan will also make a brief appearance in Lokah. 

Kalyani Priyadarshan will be seen in the lead role of Chandra in Lokah. Naslen appears as Sunny, along with Chandu Salimkumar, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, Nishanth Sagar, Vijayaraghavan in supporting roles. The movie is bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan under the auspices of Wayfarer Films. Kalyani plays the lead female character in Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, which has Fahadh Faasil in the lead role and will be shown on the big screen on August 29.
