Lokah Day 3 Telugu Box Office Collection: Kalyani Priyadarshan's film makes Rs 2 crore, in no mood to slow down

Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra is a smash hit and has opened to very good collections in Malayalam. The Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen film is also having a good run in the Telugu states, as the occupancy has doubled on its third day. When compared to Saturday, the Sunday occupancy was quite good. On day 2, Kotha Lokah made Rs 1.2 crore in Telugu, and as the word of mouth spread, the Sunday collections were Rs 2 crore.

This jump in occupancy is because of the solid word of mouth that the film is carrying in Telugu. The special aspect is that the makers did not even have a single event in Hyderabad to take the film deep into the audience. But still, Lokah has managed to find a strong audience, especially in cities like Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

As last week's releases, Tribanadhari Barbarik and Arjun Chakravarthy, did not create any impact at the box office, the A-center audience is showing interest in the first-ever female superhero film in Malayalam. The special aspect is that both the above-mentioned films did not even make a combined revenue of Rs 2 crore, while Lokah made the same in Telugu on day 3.

When it comes to Malayalam, Lokah has made Rs 9.75 crore on day 4, and with this, the total collections of the film have crossed the Rs 40 crore mark in India. The Telugu distributors have bagged the rights for a very nominal price, and looking at the way the film is faring, they will surely end up with decent profits.

Lokah attracts Tollywood industry insiders big time

In the last two years, Malayalam cinema has been getting a lot of attention in the Telugu states as films like Marco, Manjummel Boys, and Premalu were smash hits in Telugu and made decent numbers.

Lokah is also being spoken about a lot within the industry circles, as a few popular heroes are showing interest in watching the film at their homes.
