Kalyani Priyadarshan turns a superhero with Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, which is slated to hit theatres for Onam 2025. The first track, Thani Lokah Murakkaari, from the eagerly awaited Malayalam film, a Jakes Bejoy musical, is out, and just like Lokah, the song too stands out. The film is helmed by Dominic Arun and co-scripted by actress Santhy Balachandran.

Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan, who is also backing the upcoming film Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, has unveiled the first song from the movie.
Jyoti Nooran has sung the song with lyrics by Mu.Ri. For the unversed, Jyoti Nooran is known for singing the song Pattaka Gudi from Alia Bhatt's Hindi film Highway. In the Lokah song, Jyoti Nooran's booming track describes Kalyani's character Chandra as a centre of the cosmos and a mentor during times of danger. Chandra's tale is also presented as an animation during the song. We also see glimpses of Naslen, Chandu and Deepak Parambol leading a fun life. Towards the end, Kalyani makes an appearance as the superhero on a mission.
The song also has an interesting rap portion, which is written and rendered by Reble. The young singer, from Meghalaya, is becoming a force to reckon with in the Desi hip-hop scene with her raw lyrics and adds a distinct layer to the Lokah song with her rap performance.
Lokah release date confirmed
Though the makers had said that the film is an Onam 2025 release, they had not revealed the exact release date. But with the first Lokah song, the makers have confirmed that the film will release in theatres on August 28, 2025, setting up a direct clash with Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam
