With a superhero tale and that too of a woman, Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra has pulled off something wildly unthinkable. The hype around the film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, is just getting louder by the day with discussions on possible installments. Though it is confirmed to be a franchise, the makers hadn’t revealed the number of installments. Now, Lokah cinematographer has revealed that the film will have five installments and also how they developed it after producer Dulquer Salmaan prodded them to.

The Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra is produced by Dulquer Salmaan, who also makes a cameo appearance in the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer.

Lokah depicted Chandra’s tale in the Chapter 1, and the closing credits also confirmed that Chapter 2 is about Tovino Thomas’ Chattan’s tale. In a recent interview with The Cue Studio, Lokah cinematographer Nimish Ravi spoke about how he and director Dominic approached Dulquer for the project, and he was readily invested in it.

"Then we did not plan that we would be doing this many number of films. Then there was only this possibility and we were just adding easter eggs. But DQ said we need the full story and then make additions. It took 1.5 years after that to develop these five stories,” explained Nimish, confirming that the franchise would have five films.
