Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is known for LCU films, is backing films under the G Squad banner. On Wednesday, the director took to social media to announce a new film, titled Mr Bhaarath. A quirky and fun promo of the film was released, which looks refreshing, compared to the brand of dark and action-oriented gritty films that Lokesh is known for.
Lokesh Kanagaraj and Jagadish Palanisamy are set to bankroll an upcoming Tamil film titled Mr Bhaarath. Written and directed by Niranjan, the makers released an introductory promo of the film.
The promo begins with a group of men holding a boy accountable for not repaying his debts, after promising to promote videos on YouTube. As they scroll through the boy's phone, they see a contact called Mr Bharath. After they seek a ransom, Bharath says that he wants his friend alive. Meanwhile, we see the gang's leader as Lokesh Kanagaraj, who meets the boy and his friend. While Lokesh asks them to make lengthier videos, the conversation soon takes a lighter note, as the boys give out a media byte saying they are doing a film for G Squad, which is Lokesh's banner.
The upcoming film features Bhaarath, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Bala Saravanan, Nidhi Pradeep, R.Sunder Rajan, Linga, and Adithya Kathir among others. The technical crew consists of music composed by Pranav Muniraj, and Om Narayan handling the cinematography. Sudhan Sundaram, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Jagadish Palanisami are the producers of the film, while the editor is Dhivakar Dennis and Bhavna Govardan is the art director.
From the promo, it looks like Mr Bhaarath will be a comedy drama. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Lokesh is already producing Benz starring actor Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. It is helmed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, and will come under the LCU films.
