The fans of the live-action series Loki will have to wait really long to watch the second season. When the makers confirmed the second season with their final post in the post-credit scene of Loki, saying, “Loki will return in season 2”, one would have never thought even in their wildest dreams that they will have to wait for two more years.
Meanwhile, Loki’s director Kate Herron recently revealed that she won’t be helming the upcoming season.
According to Collider, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that he will try to get as many cast and crew as he can in the recent press conference of Marvel’s highly anticipated film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. “Kate is going on to do bigger and better things, so the director search will begin shortly,” he added. While talking about the shooting schedules of the upcoming season, Kevin mentioned in the conference that the team is not sure and it might fall in 2022 or even 2023, which is kind of sad news for the fans as they now need to wait longer to catch their favourite character on screen.
The Tom Hiddleston-starrer and Marvel Studios’ live-action series Loki marks the third from the MCU to be released this year on Disney+ Hotstar after WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Reportedly, Tom is also gearing up to appear as his designated character in Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Loki also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Jack Veal and DeObia Oparei in pivotal roles. The MCU series is streaming on Diesney+ Hotstar.
