Ramya or Divya Spandana's acting career has seen her dabble with many interesting roles across two different languages. While she endeared the Kannada audiences as the reigning actress in the 2000s, she used the same clout to experiment in Tamil Cinema as Divya Spandana and collaborate with many credible names in the industry. One such endeavour is the 2007 crime drama Polladhavan which marked Ramya's Tamil debut and also revealed a different side to her personality that wasn't explored to full effect in Kannada Cinema.

The core cast and crew of Polladhavan recently got together to celebrate the completion of 15 years of its release in theatres. Film's lead actors Dhanush and Divya Spandana, director Vetrimaaran and music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar were seen revelling in one another's company at the special anniversary gathering and the pictures of the same event are now gone viral on social media.

Divya Spandana then took to her Twitter account to share an appreciation post for the main team and also acknowledge the impact the film has had on her acting career. "Vetri sir it was a pleasure, I learnt so much from you," said the actress before leaving a cheeky hint regarding a possible sequel to Polladhavan!

"Polladhavan 15 years to the date and thanks to the film I met my longest standing friend @dhanushkraja (he suggested me for the film) through thick & thin 馃 Vetri sir it was a pleasure, I learnt so much from you. @gvprakash best BGM 鈾ワ笍鈾ワ笍 look forward to Polladhavan 2 馃槈" wrote Divya Spandana.

Polladhavan, released on November 8, 2007, launched Vetrimaaran as a filmmaker and over the past 15 years, he has grown to become one of the most highly-regarded directors of the country. Dhanush would go on to be assoicated with every project of Vetrimaaran's (to date) barring the anthology Paava Kadhaigal - the Vaathi actor has produced the 2015 crime drama Visaranai but does not have a starring role in the film.
