Looop Lapeta is counting down the days until it can take audiences on the bizarre and offbeat adventure it promised. The video for the upcoming film’s title track was unveiled recently, and it gives viewers a peek into the kind of chaos they can expect from the same.
The video offers a peculiar, yet alluring visual treat with its distorted cartoon visuals and array of colours, filled with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that hold your attention. The fast beats of the track pair very well with the fast paced video, that shows the urgent nature of the predicament the lead couple Savi and her partner Satya find themselves in. We see Savi get into more than a few messes as she, literally, races against time to save her partner. She is also seen brandishing a gun at one point, and with police on her heels at another.
The track has been sung by Jay Anand and Sidhant Mago, with its lyrics penned by Sidhant Mago.
The upcoming film revolves around the story of a young woman named Savi who goes through harrowing circumstances to save the life of her partner Satya. Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin star as Savi and Satya respectively. Looop Lapeta also features Shreya Dhanwanthary, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Rajendra Chawla in pivotal roles.
The film is directed by Aakash Bhatia in his directorial debut, and produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Aayush Maheshwari. It is the Hindi language adaptation of the 1998 German thriller Run Lola Run, which starred Franka Potente.
Looop Lapeta will be available to stream on Netflix from February 4.
