Loser Season 2 on ZEE5 promises to be bigger and better

The critically acclaimed sports drama, Loser, that streamed on ZEE5, released in late 2020, is gearing up for a grand return for the second season. The first season of the show, directed by Abhilash Reddy, marked the entry of reputed production house Annapurna Studios into the digital medium. Starring Priyadarshi, Shashank, Kalpika Ganesh, Annie, Pavani Gangireddy and Shayaji Shinde, the show seamlessly showcased the professional/personal highs and lows of three sportspersons (specialising in cricket, archery and tennis) in a single narrative and impressed one and all.

The shoot of the second season of Loser began earlier this year. Popular character actor Dhanya Balakrishna and upcoming performer Harshith Reddy, known for shows like Tharagathi Gadhi Daati and Mail, are the latest additions to the cast. Abhilash Reddy will be jointly directing the show with Shravan Madala this time. Annapurna Studios is producing Loser Season 2 as well, in association with Spectrum Media Networks. In the glimpse launched during the previous weekend, the creators stated that the show will depict the 'emotional drive of different individuals'.

Loser Season 2 is created by Abhilash Reddy, who has also penned the story along with Sai Bharadwaj and Shravan Madala. Naresh Ramadurai is the cinematographer with Sriram Maddury coming on board as the composer. The show is edited by Anil Kumar P. The crew comprises production designer Jhansi and costume designer/stylist Rajini as well. Neither the streaming platform nor the production house has announced the release date yet. Another high-profile show from ZEE5, Gods of Dharmapuri, will also be returning for a second season soon.
