Loser Season 2 release date: When and where to watch the web show starring Priyadarshi, Kalpika Ganesh, Shashank on OTT

ZEE5's critically acclaimed sports drama, Loser is returning for a second season. The show stars Priyadarshi, Shashank, Kalpika Ganesh, Annie, Pavani Gangireddy, Shayaji Shinde, Dhanya Balakrishna and Harshith Reddy in key roles. Abhilash Reddy, who also directed the first season of the web show, is helming the second season along with Shravan Madala. Loser Season 2, created by Abhilash Reddy himself, will be streaming on ZEE5 from January 21.

Annapurna Studios, that produced the first season and also marked their entry into the digital space, is bankrolling this season as well. In the earlier season, Loser depicted the contrasting journeys of three sportspersons in a non-linear narrative, who specialised in cricket, archery and tennis, respectively. Loser received good reviews upon release in 2020 and was appreciated for Abhilash Reddy's deft execution of a complex narrative. 

Loser Season 2's shoot had commenced in early 2021. Dhanya Balakrishna and Harshith Reddy essay new characters that will appear in the second season. Spectrum Media Networks is also involved in the production of the show. Abhilash Reddy, Sai Bharadwaj and Shravan Madala have penned the story. The technical crew comprises cinematographer Naresh Ramadurai, composer Sriram Maddury, editor Anil Kumar P and production designer Jhansi.

In the glimpse released earlier this year, Priyadarshi's voice over throws us hints on what we can expect from the season. His character says, "It just takes a second to win, but you need to own every moment to prevent yourself from failure. The world has more losers than winners. Do you want to see what they're capable of? You'll remember that for a lifetime." Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
