Loser Season 2: The team behind ZEE5's next Telugu web show comes together for a grand pre-release event

Loser, one of ZEE5's many popular Telugu web shows that released in 2020, opened to a terrific response from viewers, fraternity despite minimal publicity and marketing amidst the first wave of the pandemic. The gripping sports drama created by Abhilash Reddy is getting a new season that's set to premiere on the platform this weekend. The season features Priyadarshi, Kalpika Ganesh, Harshith Reddy, Dhanya Balakrishna, Pavani Gangireddy and Shashank in key roles.

Loser Season 2 a.k.a Loser 2 is helmed by Abhilash Reddy and Shravan Madala while Annapurna Studios and Spectrum Media Networks have come together for to execute the project. The show's pre-release event was held on Monday in Hyderabad in the presence of Akkineni Nagarjuna, Amala Akkineni, badminton player Chetan Anand in addition to Loser 2's cast and crew.

Nagarjuna added, "OTT has proved to be a revolution of sorts this generation. While a film is expected to make audiences sit in theatres for over two and a half hours, OTT is offering great stories right on mobile. It's not a cakewalk making web shows and the content needs to be immensely engaging. While Loser was a thrilling web series, I am quite impressed by the trailer of Loser 2. A product works only when the entire team puts in an honest effort and works hard. We're thankful to ZEE5 in helping us tell unique stories, particularly Anuradha, Nimmakayala Prasad and others."

The show's producer Supriya Yarlagadda shared, "I am very glad to have collaborated with ZEE5 on the show. Nimmakayala Prasad from the platform truly believed in the story and expressed interest to bring it onto the platform. The production team has worked quite hard to pull this off and I must thank Spectrum Media's team, Chandra, Mahesh and others for the seamless execution of Loser 2."

The director Abhilash Reddy stated, "I thank the guests for coming to bless our team. A lot of celebs, meme pages have gone a long way in supporting us and wishing us the best for this season. Bharath and Shravan's inputs have proved very beneficial in writing the second season. Supriya garu's presence was quite crucial in lending weight to the female characters in the show."

Actor Priyadarshi, who's cast in the role of air rifle shooter Suri Yadav, mentioned, "I am grateful to Nagarjuna garu, Amala mam and Chetan Anand for being here at the event. Annapurna Studios has consistently provided opportunities to young talents and have still remained humble despite the legacy they enjoy. A lot of efforts have gone into Loser 2.
