Yami Gautam Dhar is gearing up for her first release of the year, which promises to be an intriguing and thrilling ride indeed. Titled Lost, the upcoming film will follow Yami’s recent pattern of playing strong willed women. The makers recently unveiled the trailer of the upcoming film.
The film sees Yami take on the role of a spunky crime reporter who investigates the missing case of a college student. As her investigation gains traction, she realises that it is much more than a missing case, and there are dangerous elements at play, which even pose a threat to her life. Despite various theories about what happened to the missing young man, the reporter is determined to uncover the truth.

The film stars Yami Gautam in the lead.Talking about the film, Yami said that Lost was an ode to the many journalists who go to great lengths to search out the truth, while also trying to keep their integrity and humanity intact. “The movie represents a higher quest and a search for lost values of empathy while raising the right questions”, she said.
In addition to Yami, Tushar Pandey, Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Rahul Khanna and Pia Bajpiee also play prominent roles in the film, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
Lost marks Aniruddha’s latest directorial, after the critically acclaimed Pink(2016). The director had this to say about the upcoming film, “The movie will make you question, introspect, and tug at your heartstrings”. The film is inspired by true events.
The film has been screened at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival 2022, the Atlanta Indian Film Festival 2022 and the 53rd International Film Festival of India. Zee Studios, Namah Pictures, Sam Fernandes and Indrani Mukherjee have produced the upcoming film.
Lost will premiere on ZEE5 on February 16, 2023.
