Iconic filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has cast A-list actors, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal, for his upcoming film Love & War. SLB, who is known for his grand, visually stunning, and opulent films that combine epic narratives with a deep emotional core, is busy creating Love & War. He cancelled the planned international schedule and has recreated Italy of the 1970s in the heart of Mumbai for the film.

Mid-Day reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had planned a 45-day Italy schedule for Love & War, but he cancelled it. Instead, he shot the portions at a studio near Royal Palms in Goregaon. Fans cannot wait to see Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal sharing the screen.
In early October, Bhansali began the final schedule. A set of an Italian club was built for scenes, which was originally planned to be shot in a European country. The source shared, “The Italy schedule was turning out to be logistically complex and would have taken a lot more time to execute. Bhansali wanted to maintain the opulence, while having firm control over the setting. So, he decided to recreate the portions on a set in Mumbai. He conducted a 10-day stint with his lead actors before Diwali.”
The report also mentioned that the team is currently on a short break and by the end of October, they will return to sets for its final 20-day schedule.
The insider added, “This leg is crucial as the leads will film portions of the climax. After Alia’s pictures from the set leaked a few days ago, the director made it clear that he doesn’t want any of his actors’ looks or details to make their way online. So, the production team will share details of the venue with the unit only closer to the shoot.” Meanwhile, Bhansali is aiming to wrap up the film by mid-December as the film is scheduled for a March 2026 release.

Recently, Muzammil Ibrahim, popularly known for his Special Ops role, has confirmed being approached for Love & War. “Yes, I have been approached for Love & War. I can say I am in talks. For the rest, I cannot say anything as of now; we need to wait and watch,” the actor told Hindustan Times.
