Darling Krishna and Milana Nagaraj recently came together on the screen for PC Shekar's romantic drama Love Birds. The Love Mocktail actors, who tied the knot back in 2022 on Valentine's Day, play a married couple in the film that encounters compatibility issues in Love Birds and the crux of the story is about how they overcoming the troubles. The film hit the big screens on February 17th to positive reviews from critics but failed to translate the same reception into box office collections.

And now, following this underwhelming theatrical run, the makers are now gearing up for the digital and satellite premiere of the film. We had previously reported that Love Birds has been picked up by Amazon Prime Video with the exact date of premiere yet to be revealed. As per the latest reports, Amazon remains the OTT partner for team Love Birds with Star Suvarna now joining them as their satellite partner. Although unconfirmed, the combined Satellite and Digital rights have been sold for Rs. 3.4 crores.

Coming back to the theatrical run of Love Birds, one reckoned that the combination of Darling Krishna and Milana Nagaraj, who have previously delivered two hits in the form of Love Mocktail and Love Mocktail 2, would put an end to Krishna's dry spell at the box office. The actor, who has strictly limited himself to the rom-com genre ever since he found some success with it, has encountered a string of flops over the last 12 months or so and fans have opined that it was about time that he explored other subjects as well. However, with a discerning filmmaker like PC Shekar at the helm for Love Birds, many felt that something outside the box was in store but that film, too, could not deliver in terms of box office collections.

Milana Nagaraj, on the other hand, had two releases in 2022 in the form of Love Mocktail 2 and O, along with a cameo appearance in Vikrant Rona. She will be next seen playing the lead opposite Pruthvi Ambaar in For Regn.
