Love Hard trailer: Nina Dobrev gets catfished in the upcoming Netflix's Holiday special film

After teasing the first look of the Holiday special movie Love Hard, Netflix has dropped the first trailer. The new promo features Nina Dobrev being unlucky in love and tries her hard on online dating. However, her chances get messy there too as she meets liars including a married man with children. Finally, she gets her hands on the profile of a guy (Darren Barnet) and they both start to initiate a chat together.

However, Nina's character decides to surprise him in New York during the Holidays. But she realises that she has been catfished and the guy with whom she was chatting was his childhood friend played by Jimmy O. Yang. That doesn't stop her from wanting to be with Darren. Nina asks Jimmy to set them up but there's a lot of surprises in store for her.

We have to wait and watch to see who Nina's character ends up with - Darren or Jimmy?

The makers have described the premise of Love Hard as "A romantic comedy about the lies we tell for love. An unlucky-in-love LA girl (Nina Dobrev) falls for a rugged East Coast guy (Darren Barnet) on a dating app and decides to surprise him for the holidays, only to discover that she’s been catfished by his childhood friend (Jimmy O. Yang)."

Love Hard is directed by Hernán Jiménez while Danny Mackey and Rebecca Ewing have penned the story. The producers of the film are McG and Mary Viola.

Interestingly, the film was shot during the pandemic between October and November in Vancouver, Canada. Now, Netflix has decided to make it a Holiday special release, thus it will stream on the platform from November 5, 2021.

On the same day, Netflix is also dropping the Hindi film Meenakshi Sundareshwar starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
