Love Marriage release date out: Vikram Prabhu’s family entertainer to hit theatres in June

Love Marriage is an upcoming Tamil film, starring actor Vikram Prabhu in the lead role. Helmed by debutant filmmaker Shanmuga Priyan, the makers of the film announced the release date on Friday. It is set to hit theatres on June 27.

Starring Vikram Prabhu, who has appeared in films like Taanakkaran and Kumki, Love Marriage is a Tamil film set to release on June 27 in theatres, the makers announced on social media. The new poster shows the cast of Love Marriage gathered in front of a wedding hall.

It features Sushmitha Bhat, who appeared in the Malayalam film Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, as the female lead. Besides them, Love Marriage also features Meenakshi Dinesh, Ramesh Thilak, Aruldoss, Gajaraj, Muruganantham, and Kodangi Vadivelu among others in pivotal roles. Furthermore, Sathyaraj is playing a special cameo.

Director Shanmuga Priyan had earlier worked as an associate director for filmmaker Anand Shankar on the films NOTA and Enemy, and as a co-director in Nitham Oru Vaanam, will be making his directorial debut with Love Marriage.

Love Marriage plot

The film is laced with entertainment elements, set against the rural backdrops. The director had earlier revealed that Love Marriage is a “heartwarming family entertainer set in a charming village” which will have humour and emotions. The film will explore the concept of men struggling with late marriages, which is a new theme in Tamil cinema to be explored.

The technical crew consists of music composer Sean Roldan, who scored for Tourist Family, and composed music for this film. Madhan Christopher is handling cinematography. Bharath Vikraman is overseeing editing works, and M. Murali is taking care of production designing. The trailer of the film is set to be released shortly.
