Three years ago, when Love Mocktail came to theatres, it’s light and fresh approach to story-telling took audiences by surprise, and they, in turn, showered the film and its lead cast – Darling Krishna and Milana Nagaraj - with a lot of love. Buoyed by this positive response to the film, even though it came out just before the pandemic lockdowns, Krishna and Milana returned with Love Mocktail 2 two years later, which opened to mixed reviews, but did decently well at the box office. Speaking to OTTplay prior to the release of Love Mocktail 2, Krishna, who wrote and directed both films, had said that the sequel concludes his character Aadi’s arc, but that he could still spin a third instalment.
Well, Krishna has lived up to that statement and announced that he is working on Love Mocktail 3 on the occasion of Ugadi. Co-star and now wife Milana also posted the same image of what appears to be the first page of the script. Unfortunately for both of them, this time around, their announcement got no love from fans. Krishna and Milana were brutally trolled for relying on the success of the original to keep their careers afloat, given that neither of them has been able to find a hit elsewhere.

While Krishna chose to ignore the negativity coming his way, Milana eventually addressed the comments and wrote, “Thank you all for all the concerns and suggestions and wishes.. We will surely make it a Kickass film to watch considering all your inputs! We will try our best to give the best outcome and that’s our motive! Thanks for all your love.” Her response, though, came only after carefully combing through the comment section and hiding several that did not appeal to her. Some users who had responded to Krishna and Milana later found that they had been blocked by the duo, indicating that they are not fans of constructive criticism, after all.
