A little over 25 years after foraying into Bollywood, the suave filmmaker Karan Johar has effortlessly travelled the distance from the ‘Pyaar Dosti Hai’ classic dialogue of his debut movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to the coming-of-age docuseries Love Storiyaan on Amazon Prime Video. Twitter reacts to Love Storiyaan  

X, formerly Twitter, has been abuzz with several reactions to Amazon Prime Video’s web series Love Storiyaan. The docuseries’ take on modern love has caught the attention of netizens, with several Twitterati giving a thumbs up to Love Storiyaan.  

A Twitter user wrote, “#LoveStoriyaan – 6 heartfelt happily-ever-afters filled with joy, tears and inclusivity. My heart is full. Highly recommended." Another user added, “#LoveStoriyaan Review: #KaranJohar’s docu-series will inspire you as it celebrates love but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.”  

Love Storiyaan didn’t appeal to some netizens  

Despite the overwhelming positive response being received for the web series on Amazon Prime, some netizens found it less impactful. For instance, one Twitterati quipped, “Didn’t feel Prime Video’s docu-series #LoveStoriyaan as much I wanted to. But it remains a lovely experiment.”  

Sharing similar thoughts, another user said, “The documentary is real and touching, but adding too much drama about their lives was a letdown.”  

Love Storiyaan – What is it about?  

Talking of Love Storiyaan, the series delves into the lives of six common couples, highlighting their victories, difficulties, and unwavering love. Prepare to be moved by their experiences and rediscover the allure of true love in this compelling docuseries.

Six directors have directed the individual stories in the docu-series: Vivek Soni, Shazia Iqbal, Collin D'Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Archana Phadke, and Akshay Indikar. The social media community India Love Project has served as an inspiration for Love Storiyaan. India Love Project is an initiative by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman. The concept's creator, Somen Mishra, has worked as an executive producer alongside Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar on the documentary series.
