Love Under Construction trailer: Neeraj Madhav caught between dream home and lover in Disney+ Hotstar’s Malayalam web series

Neeraj Madhav headlines Disney+ Hotstar's latest Malayalam web series’ Love Under Construction, which also stars Aju Varghese and Gouri G Kishan. The series is slated to release on February 28, 2025. The makers have now unveiled the Love Under Construction trailer, which promises to narrate the story of a middle-class youth who is caught between a dream home and a lover.

The Love Under Construction trailer begins by introducing Neeraj Madhav’s character Vinod, who narrates his own tale. As someone who worked in the Paradise of Malayalis – Gulf, he is now literally running from pillar to post in his homeland of Kerala. It is a ‘story of middle-class', the trailer tells us.

Like most expats, Vinod says he too had just one basic dream - A house. The trailer then shows typical Malayali beliefs that the house should reflect the wealth of the owner.

Vinod admits that he is someone who is past the marriageable age and that is the cue for Gouri G Kishan as Gauri to appear as his love interest.

Then Aju Varghese makes an entry, but his character Pappettan makes some condescending remarks with Vinod rightly saying his only problem is that he is a 'Thanta vibe' (boomer vibe).

Family members are up in arms as they realise that the two youngsters are in love. Vinod asks what would one do if Mohanlal's Mithunam and Varavelupu were to happen at once?

Overall, the upcoming Malayalam series promises to narrate Vinod’s predicament as he is caught between a house under construction and a relationship on the rocks.

For those of you who don’t follow Malayalam films, Midhunam follows a man who is unable to spend quality time with his wife as he tries hard to set up a factory. Varavelpu, on the other hand, is about Venu who returns from the Gulf and operates a bus service.

Love Under Construction release date

Love Under Construction will release on Disney+ Hotstar on February 28, 2025. The Malayalam series will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.

Apart from Neeraj Madhav, Aju Varghese, and Gouri G. Kishan, the Malayalam series also features Anand Manmadhan, Ann Saleem, Ganga Meera, Kiran Peethambaran, Manju Sree Nair, and Saheer Mohammed. Vishnu G Raghav has directed the series.
