Love & War - Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal to begin Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film shoot in November? Here's what we know

An official announcement of Love & War was made in January this year. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie was announced with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. Over a month after the announcement, it is now reported that the set of Love & War will be built at the same place where Heeramandi's set was recently dismantled. Interestingly, the film's shoot is also expected to begin in November this year. 

Love & War shoot update

According to a Mid-Day report, the art and production team of Love & War will create miniature replicas of the prime sets. Once Sanjay Leela Bhansali approves, the set construction will begin after the monsoon. It will eventually lay the foundation for a November 2024 shoot.

A source told the tabloid that Ranbir will begin shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan this month. Once he wraps the mythological saga, the actor will move on to SLB's film. "The lead actors will have a straight six-month shoot, from November to 2025 summer, for the film to make its Christmas 2025 release," a source revealed.

Bhansali Productions shared the official announcement of Love & War on January 24, 2024. The statement read, "We bring you Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic saga - Love & War. See you at the movies. Christmas 2025." After this announcement hit the web, netizens were left impressed by the casting coup for SLB's movie.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's association with Ranbir, Alia and Vicky

For the uninitiated, Ranbir made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. Years later, SLB collaborated with Alia Bhatt for his movie Gangubai Kathiawadi. However, Love & War will mark the filmmaker's first project with Vicky Kaushal.

In the past, Ranbir worked with Vicky in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju. On the other hand, Alia shared screen space with Kaushal in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi.
