Love & War: Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-Vicky Kaushal's film to skip Eid release after delay from Christmas 2025? Here's why we think so

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next grand outing, Love & War, might not be able to maintain the timeline promised. Originally scheduled for Christmas 2025 release and then postponed to Eid release in May 2026, this one could end up missing the deadline again, and this time, it is for a very crucial reason. If that happens, then it is likely that the weekend would be dedicated to Kannada star Yash's film, Toxic (at least for now). The makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same.

What causes delay in Love & War?

Love & War, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Uri-famed actor Vicky Kaushal, is likely to be delayed because of a grand war sequence. The Hollywood Reporter quoted a source stating that the shoot of the grand war sequence would take place in November 2025. The source further mentioned that the movie is expected to wrap up by January 2026. "It will be impossible for Love & War to finish post-production and come on the big screen two months later in March. So the film might get pushed," the little birdie was quoted as saying.

Love & War already postponed from Christmas 2025 for Eid 2026 release

Love & War was supposed to be a Christmas 2025 release, but the movie was pushed to Eid 2026, i.e. March 19, 2026. While Christmas 2025 is expected to mark Ghajini actor Aamir Khan's Bollywood comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par, Eid 2026 was SLB's pick before Yash finalized the date for Toxic release. If Love & War is postponed again, it would be interesting to see when it will actually release.

What Love & War delay could mean for Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt-Vicky Kaushal's schedule

While 'Rockstar' Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt already had almost packed movie schedules, Vicky Kaushal is sure to consider more projects after his movie Chhaava's immense success. So, of course, they would have packed schedules which might get affected if Love & War is not able to keep up with the timeline. It would also be interesting to see if the actors can actually continue with the project at the cost of the other ones. On one hand, there is the golden opportunity to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and on the other, there could be more movies that could end up being their next blockbuster.
