3 Body Problem, the highly-anticipated Netflix adaptation of Chinese author Liu Cixin’s novel, was released on 21st March to rave reviews. The gripping sci-fi mystery thriller is created by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D B Weiss. The series features an ensemble cast of Eiza González, Jovan Adepo, Benedict Wong, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao, Liam Cunningham Jess Hong, Alex Sharp, and Jonathan Pryce among others. 3 Body Problem showrunners, David Benioff and D B Weiss shot to prominence after successfully adapting Game of Thrones – an HBO television adaptation of George R R Martin’s epic mediaeval fantasy novel series titled A Song of Ice and Fire. Despite its divisive final season, Game of Thrones is widely regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time. It’s thought-provoking narrative, complex characters, satire on socio-politics, and dark fantasy subplots have firmly established Game of Thrones as a genre-redefining masterpiece.

Normal People - OTTplay Premium

Normal People is an Irish BBC TV drama adapted from Sally Rooney's novel of the same name. It follows the journey of two individuals, Connell and Marianne, who develop a deep connection from high school through college, navigating their intertwined lives amidst various challenges and uncertainties. Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones play the lead roles in the compelling series.

Outlander - Netflix

Outlander is a historical drama series that stars Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan in prominent roles. Set in 1945, the story centres on Claire Randall, a married nurse who is inexplicably sent back in time to 1743, where she meets the charming warrior Jamie Fraser. As she becomes embroiled in the Jacobite uprising, she also grapples with her dual existence across different eras. Helmed by Ronald D. Moore, the series is based on the acclaimed novels by Diana Gabaldon.

Wolf Hall - Prime Video

The tales of the English King, Henry VIII, have been retold across various media over centuries. This is hardly surprising considering his pivotal role in the English Reformation by separating the Church of England from the Pope’s authority. The BBC series Wolf Hall tells the story of a lawyer named Thomas Cornwall, following his rise to power from humble beginnings and his close ties with Henry VIII. Academy Award and Tony Award-winning British actor Mark Rylance plays the role of Cornwall while Damian Lewis, Claire Foy, Tom Holland, and Jonathan Pryce among others play other prominent roles. The series is based on Hilary Mantel’s popular novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies.

Sharp Objects - JioCinema

Academy Award-winner Amy Adams plays the lead in HBO’s crime series Sharp Objects. It follows journalist Camille Preaker, after her recovery from mental illness, returns to her hometown to investigate the killings of two young girls. However, she must also confront her own personal struggles as she attempts to solve the ghastly murders. Created by Marti Noxon, the miniseries is based on Gillian Flynn’s iconic novel of the same name.

The Leftovers - JioCinema

The Leftovers is an HBO supernatural drama series set three years after the "Sudden Departure," a global phenomenon where 2% of the population suddenly disappears. It follows police chief Kevin Garvey, portrayed by Justin Theroux, his family, and grieving widow Nora Durst, played by Carrie Coon, along with her brother, Reverend Matt Jamison, portrayed by Christopher Eccleston. These characters are central figures navigating the complexities of life post-Departure. The riveting series is helmed by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta, and it is based on Perrotta’s eponymous novel.

Bosch - Prime Video

Titus Welliver slips into the role of Harry Bosch, a former member of the special forces who becomes a homicide detective in the LAPD's Hollywood Division. In his pursuit of justice, he grapples with various challenges while investigating suspicious deaths and exposing some of LA’s most corrupt figures. The series is helmed by Eric Overmyer and it is based on Michael Connelly’s popular novels The Concrete Blonde, City of Bones, and Echo Park. The Prime Video original series has received universal praise since its release and has spawned a successful sequel series Bosch: Legacy.
